About the Ministry
MBC began Raceday back in the summer of 2006. Raceday is a local community event showcasing race cars from local racetracks, classic cars, trucks and hot rods.

Raceday is a fun filled family day. The main event is the car show. We also provide lunch, various entertainment, children’s games, food carts, and various vendor displays. The afternoon concludes with an awards ceremony for the car show, contests and a devotional.

Activities featured over the years include: “pit stop contest” (timed tire changing on a racecar), helicopter rides, elephant rides, children’s games, pony rides, petting zoo, “outhouse races” and Firemen’s Bucket Brigade (10 person teams compete to fill a 55 gal drum)!

The purpose of Raceday is to connect with the Moline Community. It’s an event intended to provide common ground to everyone regardless of religious affiliation.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:23 “… I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.”

MBC channels Paul’s same desire by providing a fun family event to bring the gospel of Christ to people where they are without the familiar trapping of religion.
