The MBC Men’s Fellowship Breakfast and Bible Study meets last Saturday of the month for coffee, breakfast and a time of Bible study and topical discussions. We seek to build each other up as brothers in Christ and help one another realize the potential God desires for us.
Our mission is to provide a place where men feel accepted and encouraged while growing closer to God. In addition to our fellowship and Bible study time, we coordinate men’s outings, outreach opportunities and community service projects.
Proverbs 2:1-11 My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, make your ear attentive to wisdom, incline your heart to understanding; for if you cry for discernment, lift your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice, and he preserves the way of his godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice and equity and every good course. For wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; discretion will guard you, understanding will watch over you.
Bible Study Times
Last Saturday of the month, 8:00 – 9:00 am
Tom Miller is the coordinator and primary teacher for the Saturday Men’s Fellowship. Tom facilitates our Bible study/devotional, discussion and prayer time and organizes all special events and outings. Tom, Bill Chavis, Pete Blok and Daryl Kaboos rise early to open the church and prepare the breakfast.
Target Practice Event
We coordinated a half-day event annually for men to fellowship and engage in a little firearm practice. The range of weaponry includes everything from various hand guns, shotguns and rifles up to a .50 caliber machine gun owned by one of our church members. (I don’t suppose there’s much of a security concern there.)
Home Love Project
A family in our surrounding area stood in need of some external home repair. The MBC Men’s Fellowship stepped in to offer their assistance. They provided all the material and labor to help paint their home and metal roof. They also painted the garage and caulked around all the windows along with a few other minor repairs. It was terrific to see the outpouring of people coming together to help and enjoy each other’s fellowship.
